These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including visitors, registered users, and anyone who accesses shared files.

User Accounts

Account Creation

To use certain features of Droply, you must create an account using Google authentication. You must:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Be at least 13 years old to create an account
  • Use only one account per person

Account Responsibility

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You must:

  • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
  • Ensure all account information remains current and accurate

Service Usage

Usage Limits

Droply provides the following usage limits for all accounts:

  • Maximum 25 files per account
  • Maximum 500MB total storage per account
  • Maximum 20MB per individual file
  • Supported file types: All formats accepted

Acceptable Use

You may use Droply only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Upload or share illegal, harmful, or inappropriate content
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Use the service to spam or harass others
  • Upload malware, viruses, or other malicious code

Content and Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to Droply. By uploading content, you grant us:

  • A license to store, process, and deliver your content
  • Permission to make copies for backup and security purposes
  • The right to share content with recipients you specify

Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you upload and share. You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the right to use all uploaded content
  • Your content does not violate any third-party rights
  • Your content complies with all applicable laws
  • You have permission to share content with specified recipients

Prohibited Content

The following types of content are strictly prohibited on Droply:

  • Illegal content including pirated software, copyrighted material without permission
  • Harmful content including malware, viruses, or other malicious code
  • Inappropriate content including adult material, hate speech, or harassment
  • Content that violates privacy rights or contains personal information without consent
  • Content used for phishing, fraud, or other deceptive practices
  • Content that promotes violence, terrorism, or illegal activities

We reserve the right to remove prohibited content and terminate accounts that violate these guidelines.

Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

By using Droply, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service, but we cannot guarantee 100% uptime. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

  • Third-party service interruptions

We will make reasonable efforts to minimize service interruptions and provide advance notice when possible.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Droply and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Service interruptions or downtime
  • Unauthorized access to your account

Our total liability for any claims related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in your dashboard.

Termination by Us

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately if you:

  • Violate these Terms of Service
  • Upload prohibited content
  • Engage in abusive or harmful behavior
  • Attempt to compromise our systems or other users

Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease, and we may delete your account and associated data. You should download any important files before termination.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by:

  • Posting updated Terms on our website
  • Sending email notifications to registered users
  • Displaying notices in user dashboards

Your continued use of Droply after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be resolved in the courts of San Francisco County, California.
